What is Megatruck?
The megatruck, also known as a road train, is a vehicle consisting of a tractor unit connected to several trailers and semi-trailers. Its length can be up to 25.5 metres and its load capacity up to 60 tonnes. A megatruck would be the equivalent of about three trucks.
The special nature of these vehicles means that their circulation is regulated and they must comply with specific regulations. Likewise, megatrucks are obliged to have a specific active and preventive safety system installed, such as automatic emergency braking, ESP or blind spot warning.
